The Palace Museum

The Palace Museum, which also called The Forbidden City,was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty.It is located in the center of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. Thepalace complex exemplifies traditional Chinese palatial architecture, and hasinfluenced cultural and architectural developments. The Forbidden City wasdeclared a World Heritage Site and listed by UNESCO as the largest collectionof preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.

The Palace Museum consists of 980 buildings and covers72 ha (over 180 acres). As a holy place, The Palace Museum is impressive forits grand finale, excellent construction and profound historical culture.

The Great Wall

As the longest ancient defense engineering in the world,the Great Wall had been built for more than 2,000 years, distributed innorthern and central part of China. The total length of the Great Wall is morethan 50,000 km. As one of the 10 wonders of the world, the Great Wall is asymbol of the crystallization of the wisdom of people in ancient China.

The Great Wall was being built as early as the 7thcentury BC. The most part of wall was built by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperorof China. Little of that wall remains. Since then, the Great Wall has on andoff been rebuilt, maintained, and enhanced; the majority of the existing wallis from the Ming Dynasty. So far, 372 foreign leaders climbed Badaling GreatWall.

The Old Summer Palace

National Centre for the Performing Arts

National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), locatedin the west side of Tiananmen Square in central Beijing, is Asia's largesttheater complex. As an important base of cultural creative industry, itpresents Chinese highest national performing arts and cultural exchange.
